I served as a Social Media Intern for Iowa State Athletics from August 2023 to January 2025. In this role, I was responsible for managing and creating content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), and YouTube. My work involved covering live sporting events and developing engaging, timely content to support the department’s brand and storytelling goals.

 

I have gained knowledge on each platform, content creation, algorithms, and strategy.

Much of my growth came from close collaboration with a small but dynamic social team, where we regularly brainstormed, shared feedback, and taught one another new creative and technical skills.

 

One of the many highlights was the opportunity to help document Iowa State Football’s 10-win season. This was a season that brought energy and excitement to our school, and one I’m proud to have played a part in capturing.
